WE’RE HIRING A

WILLS AND ESTATES LAWYER SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Senior Lawyer – Wills & Estates

The Estate Planning Centre (TEPC) | Sydney

A new year can be the perfect time to begin a new professional chapter.

If you are an experienced Wills & Estates lawyer looking to deepen your expertise in estate planning, while also working across estate administration and disputed estates, we would love to hear from you.

Who We Are

The Estate Planning Centre (TEPC) is a boutique Wills & Estates firm based in Sydney, practising exclusively in estate planning, estate administration, and disputed estates. Our work is thoughtful, strategic, and client-focused.

We are known for our collaborative approach, technical excellence, and calm, considered way of practising law. We work closely with families and trusted professional advisers to deliver estate plans that are robust, future-focused, and tailored to each client’s circumstances.

Why You’ll Love Working With TEPC

Specialist, High-Quality Work

We practise exclusively in succession law, with a strong emphasis on estate planning. Our matters are interesting and complex.

A Sustainable Way of Practising Law

We do not operate a volume-driven or high-pressure billable culture. Instead, we prioritise quality advice, thoughtful drafting, and long-term client relationships.

Supportive & Collaborative Team

You will work closely with experienced senior lawyers and be supported by a highly capable administrative and paralegal team, allowing you to focus on legal work rather than administration.

Professional Growth

You will be encouraged to continue developing your expertise in estate planning while broadening your experience in estate administration and disputed estates, with mentoring and support along the way.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Lawyer to join our growing Sydney-based practice.

The role will involve working across:

  • Estate planning (primary focus)

  • Estate administration

  • Disputed estates (desirable, not essential)

While experience across all three areas is desirable, we are particularly interested in candidates with strong estate planning experience.

This role will suit a lawyer who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and working closely with clients, while also valuing collaboration and professional support.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Advising clients on estate planning strategies and drafting Wills and related documents

  • Managing estate planning and estate administration matters at an appropriate level

  • Working collaboratively with senior lawyers, paralegals, and support staff

  • Managing junior lawyers

  • Delivering clear, thoughtful, and empathetic advice to clients

  • Contributing positively to a respectful, professional, and values-aligned team culture

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Several years of post-admission experience in Wills & Estates

  • Strong experience in complex estate planning, with the ability to manage matters independently

  • An interest in estate administration

  • Experience and interest in disputed estates (ideal, but not essential)

  • Sound technical judgment and strong communication skills

  • A collaborative, client-focused approach

  • A genuine interest in succession law and in making a meaningful difference for clients

What We Offer

  • A full-time role in a boutique Wills & Estates practice (minimum 4 days/ week)

  • Competitive salary and benefits

  • A calm, collaborative professional working environment with a long-standing professional team

  • No volume-driven culture or unrealistic targets

  • Opportunities for career progression within a growing firm

  • Meaningful, high-quality work with engaged clients
